131 - The Great Outdoors (with Alicia Escott)

This week we have a contribution from Wendy Baker. She presents Alicia Escott, who is making work about the Outer Sunset and the extinct animals that once lived there. Check it out:
Alicia Escott has been practicing art in her personal studio in the Outer Sunset for the past 5 years. During that time, she’s gotten to know the people, plants, animals and habitats of the neighborhood and is using that knowledge in her current show at Irving Street Projects. “Another Brief History of the Sunset” is an exhibit exploring community displacement through the language of ecology. The show is up until June 30th, and there will be public gallery hours from 1-5:00 on Sundays in June.
Recorded and produced by Wendy Baker
Engineering and music composition by Edwin Broyles

The rest of the music in this episode is by Tera Melos
